Aviation Safety Management Systems – SMS Project

State of Alaska’s Department of Public Safety (Fire and Life Safety) – Hansen Reporting
(August 2008 – November 2008 / August 2009 - October 2009) 

  • Developed reports in MS SQL Reporting Services 2005 based on samples provided DPS IT and DFLS project staff.
  • Identified and resolve with DPS IT staff and Hansen/Infor any previously unidentified data definition, translation, and migration issues.
  • Integrated reports with the Hansen/Infor application user interface.
  • Tested reports in the DPS Test environment.
  • Supported deployment of reporting capabilities into DPS Production environment.
  • Addressed post-production report maintenance issues.
  • Development was done with SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services, SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio 2005

 

NWDS – AYP Project
( February 2007 – July 2009)

  • Redesigned and upgrading the existing business search web application to make it more scalable and robust.
  • This project required me to go  through analysis of the business processes, assessing current database structure, redesigning the database and implementing data access layer, business logic layer, and UI for a new application. 
  • New CRM application is designed as well to fit the same business model.
  • Administrative part of the application is being implemented using DotNetNuke portal framework to take advantage of modular approach to design.
  • Development of the application is being done using C#/.NET and ASP.NET with SQL Server database.

Wolf Lake Wellness - eCommerce website
(March 2009 - May 2009)

  • Redesigned existing company website to include the content management functionality, and enable users to order products online.
  • Designed and implemented administrative functionality allowing the staff to update the store inventory, manage order, and generate various reports.
  • Implemented unique ordering placement mechanism that manages order checkout through the timer rather than having customers explicitly go through a checkout procedure.
  • Development of the application was done in DotNetNuke framework (CMS) using C#/.NET and ASP.NET, Linq to SQL, with SQL Server database.

Alaska Commercial Fishing and Agriculture Bank (CFAB) - Equity System Redesign Project
(April 2009 - May 2009)

  • Analyzed the current Equity system (WinForms/Oracle), redesign the database, and convert it to MSSQL Server backend.
  • Streamlined the new database to suit CFAB's business practices better, and make it more efficient.
  • Wrote migration scripts to move the data over to a new database.
  • Database analysis and redesign was done using MSSQL Server 2005.

Furniture Enterprises Of Alaska, Inc - Sadlers Project
(June 2008 - March 2009)

  • Redesigned existing company website to include the content management functionality, and enable users to view the store inventory online.
  • Designed and implement administrative functionality allowing the staff to update the store inventory, and post scheduled video and paper Ads on the site.
  • Development of the application was done in DotNetNuke framework (CMS) using C#/.NET and ASP.NET with SQL Server database.

Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission – DNR Project
(June 2008)

  • Implemented Risk Based Database Management System (RBDMS) transfer between the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).  This transfer provided the DNR with the well data that it desires, while at the same time maintained the confidentiality needs of the AOGCC.
  • Developed SSIS Package that created a new database, extracted non-sensitive data from RBDMS and created a backup file of the new database for further distribution to DNR.
  • Scheduled SSIS package with SQL Server Agent to perform periodical data extractions.
  • Development was done using SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2005 Integration Services.

KPB Architects – FTP Management Project
(May 2008 – June 2008)

  • Developed a web application to manage FTP hosting provided by KPB Architects for their projects.
  • Developed integrated email notification allowing employees submit user requests in the most efficient manner.
  • Designed the database and implemented data access layer, business logic layer, and UI
  • Development of the application done using C#/.NET and ASP.NET with SQL Server database.

Glacier Medical Inc – Providence Neonatology Intensive Care project

Chenega Technology Services Corporation – JEPES project
(Jan 2006 –February 2007)

  • Joint Execution and Planning System (JEPES).  JEPES provides an integrated set of tools for the Joint Task Force Engineer Staff to plan, assess, and execute joint engineering requirements in accordance with Combatant Command's (COCOM) stated requirements. JEPES supports the execution phase of operations by providing GIS capability to perform real time engineering analysis to solve operational problems in a timely manner. 
  • The JEPES Architecture is 100% SOA-based and the application is hosted in the Global Combat Support System (GCSS) 6.1-SOA-based enterprise environment.
  • Developed modules / wrote and executed unit tests on the project to verify functionality
  • Wrote webservices to allow efficient data interchage between the modules
  • Used JSON and Dojo faramework for AJAX functionality
  • Development was done with BEA Weblogic J2EE Application Server

University of Alaska Anchorage - Alaska Telecom Mapping Project
(Jan 2005 – May 2005)

  • Designed a system that contained a database of communication sites around Alaska. The database pulled data from the official FCC webpage, which guaranteed that Alaska Telecom has the most up-to-date information. Integrated it with mapping software.
  • Wrote data migration scripts in T-SQL to integrate the data from FCC website into the application.
  • Designed and wrote data access layer in T-SQL.
  • Integrated the application with Google’s mapping solution (maps.google.com).
  • Development of the application was done using C#/.NET and ASP.NET with SQL Server database.
