NWDS follows a simple and linear process which is intuitive to both the client and our web designers and developers. Our process flow is not difficult...
Phase 1 - Functional Requirement gathering
After we provide you with a quote and we get approval to proceed, requirements gathering begins. Our web designers work with your team to discover all the details regarding to design and required functionality. This ensures your project begins with a common understanding of all the functional requirements.
Phase 2 - Submit First Design Draft
After the functional requirements have been gathered by our website designers, they return to their computers at our site (or yours if you prefer) and create an initial draft of the website design. Clients are frequently given access to the new website as it is being developed on a development server. Iterative improvements begin after client comments are reviewed by NWDS' designers and development team.
Phase 3 - Revisions (Iterative Development)
The first design draft is the basis for the iterative development cycle. The client provides "content" or "copy" in a timely manner to ensure the schedule is followed. Each revision assumes subsequent drafts are better than earlier versions. After successive iterations, the draft comes together until the final website appears ready to go "live."
Phase 4 - Finalize & Approve Design Draft
Final design drafts are result of successive and iterative improvements. Clients provide approval that all functional requirements (design specifications) have been incorporated into the Web design project. Last minute images and content are often supplied to the Web designers at this stage.
Phase 5 - Site delivery!
Once all content and graphics have been incorporated into the final revision, the site is reviewed by the client one last time. Client sign off on the website project is necessary to upload the website to the hosting Web server. NWDS can also email site files to clients so they can manage their own Web hosting.
